From a love of Mexican street food to the heart of Malate.
La Elotes started as a simple idea — what if Manila had a spot that brought real Mexican street food culture to the table? Not a watered-down version, but the real thing: charred elotes slathered in crema, birria tacos with rich consommé, mangonadas that hit just right on a hot afternoon.
Rooted in Malate and growing into Taft, La Elotes found its community one taco at a time. The name says it all — corn is where it started. Elotes, the beloved Mexican street corn, was the first dish that put us on the map.
Today, with nearly 9,000 followers on Instagram and a loyal local following, La Elotes has become more than a food spot. It's a place to slow down, gather, and eat something that actually means something.
Food is not fast — it's a reason to stay, linger, and connect. Every dish at La Elotes is made with care, not speed.
No cutting corners. Every tortilla, every drink, every topping is prepared fresh. That's why regulars keep coming back.
From Malate to Taft, La Elotes lives and breathes in its community. Every regular customer is part of the family.
We draw from the rich tradition of Mexican street food — from elotes and birria to chamoy and horchata. Every dish respects its roots.
No frozen shortcuts. Fresh produce, daily-made sauces, and hand-prepped ingredients are non-negotiable in our kitchen.
Whether you're coming in solo for horchata, with your barkada for tacos, or on a date night — La Elotes has a seat for you.
We don't tone things down. Our flavors are bold — smoky, saucy, citrusy, and alive. This is food that makes you feel something.
The vibe matters as much as the food. La Elotes is a place where good food and good energy are always on the menu.
La Elotes is born from a passion for Mexican street food culture. The first offerings revolve around authentic elotes — Mexican-style grilled corn with crema, cotija, and tajin.
La Elotes sets up its flagship spot at 912 P. Ocampo St, Malate, Manila — bringing Mexican-inspired street food to the neighborhood for the first time.
Word spreads organically on social media. The Instagram page @la_elotesph builds a dedicated following with food reels and behind-the-scenes content.
Birria tacos, loaded tacos, and a full drinks menu — including mangonadas and fresh refreshers — make La Elotes a full destination dining experience.
La Elotes expands with a second location at UPad Taft, bringing the brand to the student and young professional community along Taft Avenue.
The brand reaches close to 9,000 followers on Instagram with over 1,598 posts and reels, cementing its status as one of Manila's most-followed food spots.
